PsyCare's psychologists are available to provide a variety of and adult students testing services. Psychological testing is helpful for answering questions about intellectual functioning, learning disabilities, attentional difficulties, and emotional issues that may be factors in educational achievement, school placement, or success at work.
We offer:
- Comprehensive Psycho-educational Testing to identify areas of weakness and strength; providing a complete picture of current functioning and necessary accommodations, as well as helpful learning strategies. Clinical interviews, testing, and feedback sessions, as well as a written report are included. We are available to confer with educators, therapists, physicians or consultants to assist in developing a plan for educational or vocational success.
- Supportive services such as Family Therapy or Individual Counseling to help with the behavioral changes needed to implement recommended strategies. Parents and adult students often benefit from guidance and support in working with school systems to receive accommodations.
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Evaluation to assess the presence of ADHD or ADD and help physicians and treating therapists make a definitive diagnosis. Appropriate strategies for medication or behavioral change may then be determined. Interviews are conducted, rating scales given to students, parents and teachers, and feedback interviews are included. A written report will be provided.
- Gifted Assessments provide the documentation for accommodations for academically gifted students; and Testing for Independent School Admissions provides required information, regarding the student's level of intellectual functioning. Many local, private schools require these assessments. Standard intelligence tests are employed and a written report is provided for each of these services.
