 Dr. Ellen M. Adelman PhD
Hello!
I am Dr. Ellen Adelman, licensed clinical psychologist and meditation teacher. Effective treatment means looking at issues of the whole person: Mind, Body and Spirit. I often see people with their families or partners to help understand and resolve relationship issues and to improve communication skills. In individual sessions, a process of gentle exploration helps us address anxiety, depression, anger, and issues of self-esteem. We will determine the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of the problems you face. Together we can identify areas where you need help and develop strategies to work with them in a safe and healing environment. My special interest is the integration of Western and Buddhist Psychology into a therapeutic healing program: Mind Body Intelligence. Interested clients can learn to meditate and develop their own spiritual path as they develop greater mental health and physical well-being. Many of my clients choose to work in traditional ways, with which I am equally at home! |
 Dr. Steven Adelman PhD
I find it deeply rewarding to help people decrease the suffering in their lives and move toward greater fulfillment. Working together, we would identify and develop your strengths, remove obstacles, and build skills to reach your goals. Cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and in-depth approaches are especially useful in my work. I have an expertise in anxiety based problems, as well as with relationship concerns and depression. My style is interactive. Clients find that I create a warm environment of acceptance, insight and compassion in which people feel safe to take risks to explore themselves and to learn new skills.
Dr. Adelman has been in practice as a psychologist for over 25 years. He holds advanced degrees from University of Pennsylvania and Bryn Mawr College. He is also an adjunct professor at Drexel University. |
