How long are therapy visits?
Individual, couples and family sessions are from 45 to 50 minutes in length. Group sessions are typically 90 minutes. Assessments and evaluations are from 50 to 60 minutes. Coaching sessions can be done in person or on the telephone depending on our client's needs Coaching sessions are typically 45-minutes long and usually occur three times a month. |
Can I use insurance to pay
for my sessions? Yes, we are in-network with most insurance plans. We will be happy to check with your individual health insurance provider for your coverage and your co-pay information. |
How do I make an appointment?
Contact PsyCare at 215-885-9700 to make an appointment. If you leave a message on our confidential voice mail, please leave your telephone number and name and you will receive a prompt call back the same day during the workweek or during the next workday if you call during the weekend or a holiday. |
How much does is cost?
Your individual insurance coverage will determine your co-pays or deductible. If you are paying out of pocket, fees vary for the services provided.We do offer a sliding fee scale for people with financial difficulties. Contact us for more details regarding our rates. |
I have a very busy schedule, are your hours flexible?
Yes. At PsyCare, we make every effort to offer appointments that work with our clients' employment, academic, and family obligations. Therapists are available to meet with you, before work, on your lunch hour, evenings and weekends! |
Do you offer long-term,
more open-ended therapy services? Yes. Depending on the issues presented and the needs and wishes of our clients, we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each client we serve. |
Do you offer brief therapy for targeted problems?
Yes. At the onset of treatment, we work with the client(s) closely to figure out the source of the problem to target treatment and to address the needs of the individual(s). Frequently we engage in brief therapy, as some problems and issues tend to be resolved in a short period of time. If it appears that your problem will not be amenable to short-term treatment, you will be informed of that and we will work together to design appropriate treatment services. |

Does psychotherapy really work?
Yes. There have been numerous studies done over the past several decades that have shown that psychotherapy is beneficial in many ways for many different types of problems and issues. If psychotherapy is believed not to be beneficial for your set of issues, we will provide referrals for you that may be more useful. |
