Mind Body Intelligence™
The MBI® program at PsyCare and Sage
consists of an orientation session and a series
of 8 classes. Together with 5 to 8 other group members, participants learn concentration meditation skills, insight meditation skills, and healing-based mindful movement skills (Qigong and Yoga).
Our program teaches integrated principles of Western and Buddhist psychology; a non-sectarian path to increased compassion for oneself and others.
Surveys show that MBI® participants experience a significant decrease in emotional and physical symptoms, and a deeper connection with spirit, purpose, and joy.
MBI® oriented psychotherapy is also available for individual work!

Mindfulness techniques have been found to be effective in reducing anxiety, depression,and stress.
People from all walks of life benefit from Mind Body Intelligence® practice. Research has also shown mindfulness practices to be a powerful aid to patients with depression and anxiety, as well as, medical conditions ranging from hypertension, to cancer, heart disease, fibromyalgia and other conditions of chronic pain. Participants are able to access deeper experiences of joy and well-being, as well as a greater sense of purpose and direction in their lives.
Many participants have experienced basic Mindfulness training at the Jefferson and Penn programs.
MBI® offers the basics, plus a wonderful opportunity to better establish, and deepen those skills.
Mind Body Intelligence (MBI® )is a unique integration of Western Psychology’s insight and cognitive-based therapies with mindfulness practice and Qigong (traditional Chinese Medicine). MBI® provides a path to psycho-spiritual and physical well- being under the guidance of trained mental health professionals.
Mind Body Intelligence offers psychological growth through identifying the causes of suffering and learning mindfulness meditation techniques. Participants develop greater connection with their physical being through Yoga, Qigong and guided meditations. Participants learn how to decrease the physical effects of stress and how to live more lovingly with their bodies. The opportunity for spiritual growth and a deeper connection to all living things is a result of Mind Body Intelligence practice. Participation results in a significant increase in over-all health and well-being!
