At our last practice meeting, we explored some of the negative effects of these chaotic times.
We shared how we deal with current events personally, and what we share with our patients to help them.

At our last practice meeting, we explored some of the negative effects of these chaotic times.
We shared how we deal with current events personally, and what we share with our patients to help them.
Here are some suggestions from the clinicians at PsyCare:
- Be sure to limit your exposure to the media, so you don’t become overloaded.
- Refrain from taking too much responsibility for “fixing problems”, personally or globally.
- Remember that periodically, all complex systems disintegrate in order to re-integrate at a higher level of functioning. (Chaos Theory)
- Foster a sense of equanimity that allows you to observe the events around you, from a mindful, objective perspective. (Refraining from sinking into despair).
- Invite an attitude of “ What is the next right thing?” We are never helpless, even in the face of adversity. There is always something we can do, even if, for today, it is very small.
